Liebe Sylvie, lieber René,
traurig haben wir gestern die Nachricht über Manfreds Tod erhalten. Ein Leben lang waren wir befreundet und müßen jetzt Abschied nehmen. Wir sind zutiefst erschüttert über den Tod von Manfred. Gerne denken wir an die schönen lustigen Zeiten mit Manfred zurück.

We mourn the loss of Manfred!
Still it is inapprehensible that he is not any longer among us - he just was a part of us.
Ever since 1979 he has built our international business literally from scratch.
As our International Sales Manager he was a visionary, a pioneer, a great leader and motivator:
He was the one, who at first inspired people by his vision, faith and belief, by his vision, faith and belief that Loacker one day would become an international brand.
He was the one, who has lived, exemplified to us and personified what today some call "Loackerism", namely the sense, the spirit, the philosophy and culture of doing business with familiarity, with reciprocal respect, tolerance, fairness and appreciation and most importantly friendship.
He was the one, who has taught us to stay curious, passionate and fascinated - human.
He was the one who has trained us to always look for the back door as the front door was locked.
He was the one, who in so many ways has put tracks into the virgin snow, the tracks which we can follow now.
Dear Manfred, thanks so much for everything!
And goodbye until we'll meet again!
You'll never be forgotten!

Nei paesaggi fatati delle tue Dolomiti ci hai guidati in posti magici che solo tu potevi farci scoprire e amare così e ci hai contagiato con il tuo entusiasmo,
con la tua grande passione per lo sci ci hai insegnato un altro modo, nuovo e bellissimo, di sciare.
Vedi, Manfred, siamo stati insieme solo un pugno di giorni all'anno ma gli anni sono passati e sempre, stupendo, era l'aspettare febbraio, impazienti, per ritrovarci e con Silvy, noi quattro, come ragazzini su e giù per le tue piste, con te sempre davanti, guida sicura .
