E‘ solo adesso che apprendo della scomparsa di Manfred, un “Personaggio” come si usa dire, ma soprattutto di una Bella Persona in questo caso, contento di averlo incontrato nella vita!
Condivido in pieno ogni parola che è stata scritta su di Lui, ma inevitabilmente quelle parole lasciano in me una profonda tristezza poiché mi vengono in mente tutte le volte che ci siamo incontrati, ricordo ancora adesso la prima volta, quando l’ho conosciuto a Berlino, inevitabilmente abbiamo parlato di biscotti, ma anche della mia Sicilia, di Taormina, e di tante altre cose, con vero piacere.
Ho imparato così a conoscerlo e ad apprezzarlo come uomo, prima ancora che come un grande export manager, lo ammiravo per ciò che faceva e soprattutto per come lo faceva, e per quel modo che aveva di essere e di rapportarsi con gli altri, per quella Sua Autorevolezza che mai prevaricava.
Ammirevole Sua moglie che oltre al figlio lo seguiva con grande Amore!! Lo andavo a trovare spesso in fiera, portandogli quei miei docini che Lui e la Sua famiglia tanto apprezzava.
Pochi incontri ma significativi, un’amicizia autentica imperniata sulla stima e sul profondo rispetto reciproco. Mi invitava sempre ad andarlo a trovare in azienda, ma la mia "discrezione" del tutto ingiustificata non mi ha permesso di "approfittare" dei Suoi inviti.
Oggi però mi pento di avere sprecato queste occasione di incontro che mi avrebbero certamente arricchito de avremo potuto scambiarci ancora qualche altro sorriso!
Adesso desidero unirmi al dolore dei Suoi cari, dare la mia testimonianza per un Uomo così importante nel mondo dolciario, che ha vissuto la Sua vita da protagonista con grande discrezione e nel rispetto di un mondo sano ed onesto. Oggi una virtù più unica che rara!
Io mi sento un privilegiato, ricco di una amicizia che lascia veramente un segno nella mia vita. Grazie Manfred!

Unser tiefes Mitgefühl und unsere herzliche Anteilnahme gilt im Besonderen der Familie des Verstorbenen sowie dem gesamten Loacker-Team.

It is with great sadness and shock that I just heard about Manfred 's passing. My deepest sympathies and prayers go the the Kunold family and Loacker team. On our trip and tour with the Canada group to the Loacker Factory in May 2011, I had but just a few days with Manfred, but his pleasent, joyful manner and vast knowledge of Northern Italy, that he gladly shared with our group as our "Tour Guide", has left a lasting impression on me. He was a great ambassador of the Loacker line, and you could truly see he enjoyed life to the fullest, through all his travels, great stories and memories. Manfred, you sincerely enhanced my experience of my first trip to Italy, and for that I am eternally grateful! May you rest in peace.

Non conoscevamo il Vostro Amico e collaboratore, ma il fatto stesso che abbiamo annunciato sul sito della sua departita, ci fa capire come eravate legati a lui e come siete una grande famiglia. Solo dalle grandi famiglie nascono e crescono Aziende solide e di successo come la vostra. Condoglianze alla famiglia e a voi. da Napoli.

Dearest Sylvie, My Brother Rene & Loacker family:

I was shocked when I heared that he left us.
I am writing to extend my deepest sympathies to you ,family and all of us for the loss of a great person Mr. Manfrad.
It is painful momment I just remember him with his perfect smile and his big impation and love to Yemen when you visit us to Yemen last time.

I had the honor and the pleasure to work under the auspices of Mr. Manfrad. He truly taught me many things in business and life, Lessons of which I will never forget but more importantly he taught me how to be a caring passionate and loving person.
His legacy will remain with us and we promise to continue on his great vision and believe in the Loacker business.

Be sure my dearest Manfred that we will keep on going strong as you were always saying to us.
